Az ősznek toposza van.
Finom kezükkel csomagolják a diáklányok
vörös sálak, fátyol-szárnyak
és megtorpant ritmusok közé.
Én kézenfogom,
elkísérem
Sötét zajba, mesebeli szépbe,
őrült napba, beteg éjbe.
Autumn has a topos-
With their fine hands schoolgirls pack it
Amongst ruddy scarfs, veil-wings
and cadences balked.
I take him by the hand,
escort him
To nubilous hubbub, storied nonpareil,
delirious retreat, ailing night.

Even with the English translation I'm not sure I understand the poem completely... What I do understand is that it's brilliant - in its structure, its expressions and imagery. The whole second verse is very captivating in particular. I like the perspective you describe the situation from which still leaves many things unsaid about the scene and the people. The feelings involved, however, come across well. The mood is lovely too, as the two verses create a good balance out of alienation and sociability. Fantastic work. :)
